Battery manufacturing is rapidly driving increased production volumes, while requirements are tightening on chemical content, the work environment, and traceability. In this session, RISE shows how companies can work systematically with the substitution of hazardous chemicals and develop safe and sustainable alternatives.
The session will also focus on the risks of chemical emissions in lithium-ion battery recycling processes and on how considering ecodesign principles at the battery material development stage can help to create safe and sustainable circular batteries.
