At the Electronics Fair 2025, a well-attended session on skills provision in the technology industry was held, a crucial issue for Sweden’s competitiveness. Maria Nilsson, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, presented the government’s STEM strategy and described how the lack of technical skills is currently one of the biggest growth barriers for companies. Maria Rosendahl from Teknikföretagen and Maria Bernander from Volvo Cars shared their perspectives on the challenges and what is needed to meet future demands. The session concluded with an engaging panel discussion, led by Leila Khammari, exploring possible solutions and paths forward.
