Semiconductors have gone from being a global scarce resource to a geopolitical power tool. This session explores what is happening in Europe, how Swedish companies are affected, and what investments are required to strengthen domestic competence and production.
Semicon Sweden and SCCC work jointly at the national level to develop and strengthen Sweden’s semiconductor ecosystem. By bringing together industry, academia, and public stakeholders, they drive initiatives that enhance skills, innovation, and supply chains, and position Swedish semiconductor capabilities both nationally and globally. They will also provide a current overview of where Sweden stands in shaping Chips Act 2.0 and present the results of Semicon Sweden’s work on developing Sweden’s national semiconductor strategy.
